Professor Elizabeth A. Croft , P.Eng.

Dr. Croft teaches courses in robotics and dynamics. Her research investigates how robotic systems can behave, and be perceived to behave, in a safe, predictable, and helpful manner. Applications of this work range from manufacturing assembly to healthcare and assistive technology. She is Associate Head (External Matters) of the department, and director of the Collaborative Advanced Robotics and Intelligent Systems Lab.

Recent industrial research projects include the design of an automated trajectory planner for smooth and accurate robot motion, and the development of a multi-platform architecture for sensor and device integration in robotic workcells. Dr. Croft is the Associate Director of the Industrial Automation Laboratory at UBC.
