Biomedical Engineering Program

What is the difference between selecting the Biomedical Engineering Program (BMEG) or Biomedical Engineering from research groups as your specialization?

Both groups are under the home department of Mechanical Engineering. Students in the Biomedical Engineering Program will achieve a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Students who select Biomedical Engineering as a specialization will achieve a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Please include the “Recommendation for Admission to the BMEG Program” form in your application package if you are applying to the Biomedical Engineering Program. Complete the 1st page ONLY and send both pages (leave the 2nd page blank) to the admission office. If this form is not submitted, your application will NOT be considered for admission to the BMEG program.

All application materials should be sent directly to the Mechanical Engineering Department.
