Community, the environment, and sustainability are some of the core values of Mechanical Engineering at UBC . We aim to foster a sense of community within our Department, to reach out and engage the community at large, and to work within a framework of environmental awareness and sustainability.

Fuelling the Future, by Dr. Bob Evans

In general terms there are only three primary energy sources: fossil fuels, renewable energy, and nuclear fission. This talk will outline how these three sources are used to provide all of our energy needs, and how we can move to a much more sustainable energy system in the future.
